Push Aequi Ankle Brace
The Push brace has been designed with the anatomy of the ankle joint as the guiding factor.
The difference being the rigid splint on this orthosis is exclusively on the medial side, protecting the malleolus, with a soft preformed foam offering comfort on the lateral side.
The brace is fastened with a diagonal strap, and a series of elastic straps apply compression and support. Then inserting the brace into a sturdy shoe or boot completes the optimal functional treatment for ankle injuries, both acute and chronic.
The strap system is designed to mimic the functional stability that is created during athletic taping procedures using sports tape.
The clever design of this brace means that it is indicated for both inversion (rolling or going over on the ankle) and eversion injuries, while allowing adequate plantar/dorsal flexion (movement of the toes and front of the foot up and down). There is therefore is no inhibition to movement while walking or running.
Designed for serious instability of the ankle, the treatment of acute lateral ankle ligament lesions, follow up treatment of ankle fractures, arthosis without the accumulation of fluid and severe ankle sprains and strains.
