Sporlastic Neurodyn Comfort Foot Drop Support

The Sporlastic Neurodyn Comfort Foot Drop Support is a German engineered design for spastic foot drop and flaccid paralysis, following a stroke, multiple sclerosis, peroneus paresis and other neurological/muscular diseases.

One of the key features of the Neurodyn Comfort is that it can be applied and secured using only one hand, through the innovative single-handed closure system and easy application.

This orthosis has a strong foot-lifting effect achieved through its semi-elastic strapping bonded to the thermoplastic, malleable and flexible shoe insole.

The benefit of the brace lies in reducing the risk of falling by stabilising the ankle joint, supporting the dorsal flexor muscles affected by paralyses and actively helping the foot return to its normal function.

The slimline design means it fits comfortably into a shoe.

Compensating for the lost function without hindering the remaining functions using dynamics instead of using rigid splints; comfort instead of pressure.

Measurement & Fitting

Using a fabric tape measure around the circumference of your leg just above the ankle in centimetres and your shoe size then refer to the sizing guide to obtain the correct size

Insert the insole into your shoe so that the lifting straps are protruding left and right
Open out the ankle clasp and position it centrally over the Achilles tendon so that the Y-shaped strap faces outwards.
The trick with the click: Press the ankle clasp gently together until it clicks shut. NOTE: Only press the ankle clasp together inwards.
If you overbend it outwards the metal strip sewn into it may break – this must be avoided.
Close the ankle clasp with the inside Velcro strap
Put on your shoe, place your foot on the floor and bend your knee forwards.
Close the lifting straps crosswise and under slight tension onto the ankle clasp.
Take several steps to test how your forefoot is raised. Readjust the strap if required
